Yesmail is a well-established company with a worldwide presence and a strong slate of Fortune 500 customers. Right now, you may be hearing from some of these companies in communications that Yesmail has provided. Perhaps Hotwire or PayPal, Subaru or Coke, HP or Levi’s. Our primary products are opt-in email communications to give customers the info they want when they want it. We are also moving into mobile messaging and social networking to continue our leadership in our markets. Our leadership in those markets has been recognized by Forrester, who named us a Leader last year.
We are moving far beyond the opt-in email marketing concept, (although you are probably already using us for that) and are moving into new technologies and areas, including mobile and social networking. We need people who can be innovative in a team and individually, and who are not afraid of any technology.
This team spends it's time researching what technologies and market demands will be in the future and crafts plans and goals for our products in the 18 month + time-frame. If you are looking to impact the future of the large clients we have, and if you have strong J2EE skills and have developed some knowledge of the Google Web Toolkit ( GWT ) http://googlewebtoolkit.blogspot.com/2008/02/yesmail-talks-about-gwt.html , we may need to talk to you. If you can thrive in a creative software environment and function well as a team member and as an individual, this may be a fit. If you know RESTful design and can get into creating something that is used millions of times a day, we need to know about you. This role will join a team developing next-generation products for Yesmail.
This role will join a team in the Oakville area. Ideally, we need strong skills that come from a number of years (not months) of experience. Things like asynchronous and synchronous design and HTML/JavaScript/DHTML/CSS/XML skills are important. This role is ideal for someone who can work on both the front-end UI and the back-end server side.
