Department Overview:
The Enterprise Delivery Services (EDS) Advancement Group manages the Application Risk Assessment (ARA) program for all Technology Solutions (TS) areas within the enterprise. The objective of the ARA is to measure risk and increase awareness on those applications with Risk on a yearly basis. And in particular it is a vehicle to support Risk Management through Action Planning.
Job Overview:
As a Database Analyst I, this candidate would be responsible for producing metric analysis and reporting using Excel database. The survey is developed in Excel and this individual will be creating reports using vlook-ups, pivot tables, and charts. This candidate would need to have a combination of technical expertise in Excel and also business savvy as he/she would need to explain and educate survey respondents (IT Managers). He/she would also be using the Excel database to complete trending analysis as well as combining various answers to calculate risk scores. As subject matter expertise, this individual would also code, develop and manipulate various Excel spreadsheets to create reports.
The candidate must have strong skills in Office products, especially an “advanced” Excel user with superior experience in vlookups, pivot tables, and charting. This candidate would also need to be detailed oriented, analytical and logical thinking to resolve issues and develop solutions. A strong candidate would have a combination of technical experience and solid business acumen.
Key Accountabilities:
• Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains company database(s)
• Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process
• Writes macros for Excel database, modifications, and constructions including stored procedures
• Performs tasks under supervision to support more senior informatics staff
• Work with project groups to select and apply data standards
• Work with others to maintain or upgrade data structures
• Assist users with implementation of appropriate standards and document
• Conduct audits
• Monitor compliance to standards and assist development
Qualifications:
• Excel – 6+ Years
• Microsoft Office – 6+ Years
