Application Developer (Toronto)

We currently have an opening for an Application Developer.
This position represents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual with experience in Oracle 10g/11g, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript, and JSF/ADF. The Application Developer will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining our Enterprise software application. This position reports directly to the Enterprise Development Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities:
•Write high quality and well-documented code according to accepted standards based on user requirements
•Be accountable for the design, development, support and maintenance of our Enterprise application
•Participate in project and team meetings interacting and collaborating with team members and other departments as appropriate
•Evaluate alternative design approaches, and design technical processes to meet business and user requirements
•Estimate and document required work effort to develop, test and implement new technical processes
•Test and debug program units in conjunction with other units and/or systems and integrate with other program modules and systems
•Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
•College/University degree – preferably in Computer Science, Math/Physics, Engineering
•Hands-on technical working experience with Oracle 10g/11g, PL/SQL and SQL.
•Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, JSF/ADF, JDeveloper is a great asset
•In-depth knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes from both an business and IT perspective
•Solid understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements
•Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
