IT Business Analyst w Credit/Insurance or Tech Solutions - SDLC - PERM (Downtown Toronto)

Our client is designated as a super-growth business. One of their key initiatives is a Policy Administration platform consolidation project which is designed to support our strategic direction and growth aspirations.
The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the project Fulfillment team. The role will be responsible for the creation of detailed requirements and specifications for Customer Correspondence. This position will collaborate extensively with internal and external business partners.

Job Accountabilities:
Facilitate meetings and JAD sessions with internal and external business partners and service providers
Gather and document detailed business requirements
Verify that solutions satisfy business requirements
Participate in the development and execution of test plans
Participate in the development of implementation and training plans
Participate in the development of end user procedures and training materials
Participate in the development and maintenance of user and production support manuals and job aids
Qualifications:
Previous experience within Credit, Insurance, or Technology Solutions would be beneficial
Ability to produce a variety of business documents that demonstrate command of language, clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation
Demonstrated knowledge of business analysis principles and best practices
Demonstrated knowledge of the software development life cycle
Working knowledge of use case development
Demonstrated knowledge of techniques for anticipating, analyzing and resolving problems
Experience in system testing and defect management concepts, capabilities, and tools
Demonstrated excellence in the ability to express oneself and communicate with others verbally
Demonstrated knowledge of techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
Proficiency in the use of project management tools and techniques
Developing negotiation skills
Must be able work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
Must be able to manage concurrent tasks and priorities
Education/Accreditation/Training:
Post secondary education in a business or IT discipline is preferred
At least 3 - 5 years of Business Analysis experience working as part of a project team on medium to large initiatives is preferred
