Web Designer with Government exp - SharePoint Solution&Portal Design (Downtown Toronto)
at Human Resources in Toronto
Our client, a provincial government agency is currently in need of a strong Web Designer to redesign and develop their current new website. (Must receive resumes no later than Oct. 20th at 12 p.m.)
This includes:
- presentation
- content
- navigation
- search functionality
• Enable quicker access of information
• Implement new branding
• Incorporate Ontario Provincial government Standards
• Incorporate Presentation standards
• Ready to implement “Forms on Demand”
• Site must be easy to modify/upgrade
• Support cross browser e.g. IE, Firefox, Safari, etc
• Create a content plan that sorts, categorizes large amounts of content
• Assist with development of protocols and documentation standards
• Train staff on how to operate/modify the new site
You bring:
• HTML/DHTML/XHTML, CSS, XML, Javascript, ASP/PHP, AJAX and FTP software (i.e. CuteFTP, winSCP)
• SharePoint Out of the box solution and portal design
• Developing web graphics using Adobe Creative Suite 3 (CS3) and proficiency in creating Flash animation. Also, knowledge in PageMaker, Illustrator and Micromedia Fireworks would be an asset
• Use Linkbot
• SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
• Developing/designing new web sites (making modifications to existing web sites); experience with bilingual government and forms-based websites is considered an asset
• Excellent knowledge of current web-design trends (W3 Compliant), specifically government web standards and Accessibility related issues
• Experience in design and development of a government website
• Proven experience in migrating large amounts of content and files
• Highly proficient in web design/architecture
• Experience in working with and developing/implementing a Content Management Systems (CMS)
• Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web applications
• Works well individually and in a team/collaborative environment
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and assessment skills coupled with strong visual, verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills are a must
