Floral Merchandising Supervisor (York Region/Markham area)

FLORAL MERCHANDISING SUPERVISORS (FULL TIME)
Jeffery’s Greenhouses Inc is a wholesale distributor of spring bedding and potted plants in Ontario.
We are currently recruiting for full time Merchandising Supervisors in the Markham/York Region to work out of a major home improvement retailer.
The primary responsibility of this position is to supervise a team of In-Store
Service Representatives while maintaining good relationships with valuable customers and driving sales at store level for the company.
Other Responsibilities include:
· All duties related to hiring, training, motivating In-Store Service Representatives to achieve company sales targets
· Drive sales and manage inventory in a big box retail environment
· Regularly visit selected stores and ensure company objectives are being met
· Provide excellent customer service by working in cooperation with store associates
· Communicates regularly with In-Store Service Representatives to ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities and work schedules
· Build and develop relationships at store level
· Computer and Internet access for daily communications with Jefferys office staff
Skills:
· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication required
· Team building and leadership skills
· Organizational and multi-tasking skills
· Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
Experience:
Previous experience in merchandising in a big box retail environment or garden center experience is required
Compensation:
Salary to be negotiated
Mileage allowance
Regular travel is involved therefore you MUST own your own reliable vehicle
This is a full time position. Hours may vary according to daily demand. Weekends are required during peak times.
