Inspiring Fundraisers - Needed Immediately
World Vision is offering an exciting opportunity where you can make a difference in the lives vulnerable of children around the world this Holiday Season!
Be part of a passionate fundraising team whose mission is to promote child sponsorship for our 2009 Christmas Mall Campaign at the Square One Shopping Centre, Sherway Gardens and the Scarborough Town Centre in the Greater Toronto Area.
Job Details:
Position Title: Mall Fundraiser
Campaign: World Vision Christmas Mall Campaign 2009
Rate of Pay: $17.00 per hour
Typical Hours: 20-25 hrs/week
Timing: 6 week contract position, November 10 until December 24
Training: Mandatory full day of paid training on November 9
Job Summary: To successfully reach out to the members of the public passing by the World Vision mall booth and inspire them to sponsor a child through monthly contributions.
What will you gain from being a Fundraiser?
Along with an excellent rate of pay you will have travel opportunities, receive paid training, plus the chance to help make life changing differences to children and their communities.
Who are we looking for?
World Vision is seeking outgoing, sales-oriented leaders who can represent World Vision in a responsible and professional way to raise funds via one-to-one conversations in a mall setting. This position is for candidates with proven sales, fundraising or promotion experience. Previous child sponsorship experience or an interest in international development is an asset.
Job Requirements:
• Commitment to the cause and desire to ignite a difference
• Proactive, outgoing and welcoming nature
• Resilience, drive and endless enthusiasm
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet targets
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
