Assessment Coordinator for Rehab (Vaughan)

Physiotherapy FIX is a group of five rehabilitation centres throughout GTA.
At the Physiotherapy FIX, our experienced professionals work together to customize a treatment plan to rehabilitate you from motor vehicle accident (MVA), work-related (WSIB) and sport injuries. We work closely with family doctors, medical specialists, other health professionals, and legal counsel to ensure all services are professionally delivered and well coordinated.
Currently we are looking for a full-time Assessment Coordinator to work in our Head Office in Vaughan.
Summary:
As a successful candidate you will be a liaison with variety of audiences (patients, management, health care practitioners, lawyers, insurance companies and WSIB representatives).
Job Description:
· Schedule & confirm assessments for patients, maintain assessors calendars and provide confirmation details;
· Perform data and financial management of claimants, billings and reconciliation of bills with insurance companies and government agencies;
· Investigate and resolve medical/rehabilitation, disability, paper review and insurer examination claims with thorough knowledge of legislation and regulations under bills and statutory accident benefits;
· Maintain accurate monthly, quarterly and annual statistics within timelines;
· Invoice and collect claims with OHIP, WSIB and Extended Health Care;
· Process, develop and co-ordinate intake referrals;
· Assign assessors and coordinate external services such as transportation and interpreter services;
· Administer all billing and collection of all invoices under fee schedule guidelines and current legislation;
· Maintain accurate records on accounts receivable, bookkeeping and excel spreadsheets.
Employment Requirements/Skills:
§ College Diploma;
§ Experience in medical/ rehabilitation setting a must ;
§ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (World, Excel), Outlook and Internet;
§ Discretion in dealing with confidential information and ability to respond to sensitive issues;
§ Working knowledge of Auto Insurance Regulatory/ Bill 198/Network Assessor;
§ Ability to work in collaborative and independent work environments;
