Job Title:
Plant Supervisor
Job Duties:
• Supervise, Co-ordinate and schedule activities of the plant
Establish methods to meet production and co-ordinate with the other departments
• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity
• Requisition material and supplies
• Identify waste and recommend work measures to become leaner
• Train staff in job duties, safety and quality procedures and company policies
• Initiate personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
• Prepare production and other reports
• Propose and implement cost reduction and continuous improvement programs
REQUIREMENTS:
• 3-5 years of working experience as a Manufacturing Supervisor
• College or university program for Manufacturing technology and/or Management
• Experience working in a unionized environment
• Experience in lean and Aluminum manufacturing
• ISO certified
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Knowledgeable with Health and Safety Act, Hazard identification, Accident Investigation
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Must be able to read blueprint, mechanical, electrical/maintenance knowledge
• Proficient in word, excel and ERP systems
Compensation:
60-65K per year
