Position Vacancy – External Posting
Job Title: Electronic Products Production Specialist, (The Cartwright Group Ltd)
12 Month Contract
Location: 240 Edward St., Aurora, Ontario
Reports to: Karen Fish, Manager, E-Products & Application Development
Brief Summary of Responsibilities:
• Compiles information for CD products from a variety of sources
• Prepares, edits, validates and secures information
• Manipulates data which includes executing a variety of scripts and paginating text
• Updates user manuals for CD products
• Coordinates with suppliers to ensure replication schedules are met
• Orders film, creates info bases, validates products, tests links and creates security levels
• Maintains instruction sets for CD-ROM or internet products
• Troubleshoots problems that arise with CD-ROM or internet products
• Coordinates with outside suppliers to obtain and verify forms for updating CD and Web products
• Creates Internet versions of e-products
• Prepares and loads info bases on web sites
• Tests, checks and corrects products on web sites
• Updates word forms for diskette or web products
• Converts, verifies, edits and distributes files such as summary files and law reports to outside online provider
• Maintains in-house archives of electronic judgement files
• Orders full-text cases from an outside supplier and merges and distributes files
• Provides backup technical support to customers and staff regarding CD and Web products
• Performs other tasks as assigned
Qualifications: (M) = Mandatory or (P) = Preferred
a) Education:
• Completion of High School (M)
• Completion of Post-Secondary (P)
b) Experience:
• Previous experience in publishing field (P)
c) Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
• Attention to detail (M)
• Data manipulation (M)
• Excellent computer skills (M)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (M)
• Excellent time management and organizational skills (M)
• Self-motivated individual (M)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (M)
• Knowledge of CD-ROM and Internet technologies (M)
