Cisco Network Manager ( Cisco/Juniper switches) (Downtown)

NETWORK MANAGER (Cisco/ Juniper)
You will need to have 10 + years of IT experience before applying to this role, note : this is a hands-on role, small team of 3 people to manage.

MUST HAVE:
10+ years experience in the IT industry, with at least 5 years specializing in designing/supporting large scale LAN/WAN environments (100+ Wan sites & 1000+ nodes) and supporting/diagnosing IP based network issues
Extremely good understanding of all networking technologies – e.g. Ethernet, bridging and spanning tree, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP,OSPF), TCP, UDP, FTP, firewall technologies (PIX, Netscreen), WAN technologies and IPTEL technologies
Good understanding of IT security fundamentals and the ability to manage Internet connected Firewalls with large and complex rule sets
Ability to define and enhance Network Security strategies
Excellent understanding of LAN-based sniffer products and traffic flows for analyzing IP network traffic.
Good understanding of http and other web based protocols
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written, including the ability to communicate with non-technical customers
Take ownership of problems and work through all the issues to ultimately resolve the issue
Enthusiasm/passion towards IT technology in general
Ability to comprehend, contribute to and articulate technology strategy
Ability to motivate and manage technical resources to deliver on a strategy
Highly Regarded to come out a financial firm or have exposure to high transaction rate networks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and implement company network solutions; this may incorporate the following technologies - Cisco/Juniper switches, routers and firewalls, QOS, network management (CISCO Works, Netflow, CastleRock, PRTG, etc), sniffers, IPTel and VPN technologies
Provide 2nd level support for LAN/WAN data communications problems and/or tasks.
Analyse complex problems and co-ordinate resolutions.
Monitor network performance, capacity and trends
Submit and review planned network changes that impact the firms network
Work on special local and global projects to enhance the firms network
Create and document relevant network standards where applicable
Provide consultancy to our clients relating to application access
MUST:
Design, implement and provide 2nd level support for the firms network within Canada
Work on special local and global projects that will enhance the firms Network
Diagnose and resolve complex problems relating to Network infrastructure within Canada
Provide guidance and analysis for resolution of application problems within Canada
Assist in providing and initiating strategies that ensure the firms Network is aligned with our business strategies, etc
Manage networks team( currently 3 people), providing guidance and ensuring continual performance and consistency of work from all members.
Work closely with compnies Operations department in providing support of company infrastructure
