As an Entry Level Graphic Designer for Higher Definition you will be part of a dynamic and cross functional team. A successful Graphic Designer possesses the following characteristics: Energetic, Organized, Self Starter; Creative; Knowledgeable in common graphic design tools & updating website content. The Graphic Designer will do 70% web work ie: Building and editing of web pages. 30% Graphic Design ie: taking product pictures for web, creating ads and brochures.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Develop original, creative and innovative concepts for consumer products for Canadian and US marketplace
• Design / layout - brochures, manuals, posters, displays
• Maintain and update websites in Dreamweaver
• Stay abreast of current trends, processes and software.
• Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Qualifications:

• Post secondary diploma/degree from a recognized college or university
• Proven design ability in Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic working knowledge of Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong time management skills
• A portfolio of previous work must be presented

Nice To Have Skills:

• Basic Understanding of PHP Scripts, SEO and MySQL
• An understanding of browser compatibility issues
• Working knowledge of JavaScript
