Position Title: Business Analyst – Enterprise Architecture
Submission closed: Aug 28th.. 12noon
Estimated Start Date: Oct 1 2009
Anticipated Duration: 3 Months
Rates: 63 to 83 dollars an hour
Description of Assignment/Scope of Work
The Business Analyst will be responsible for developing the Business and Logical Architecture artefacts for the City of Toronto 311 project. The BA will be collecting this information from the 311 Project team and document it according to the City of Toronto Enterprise Architecture Framework (Zachman). The role requires some understanding of Call Centre technology and some City experience would be an asset.
The Business Analyst must be capable of working independently on their own inside a Project team. The BA will interview 311 Project team members, review existing documentation, and document the current and future architecture of the 311 solution.
Assignment Duties
1. Create a Business Architecture Document for 311
2. Create a Logical Architecture Document for 311
3. Work with 311 Project team to define the above artefacts
4. Work with the EA team
5. Report status to the Head Architect
Qualifications
1. University Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience
2. Experience working in any level of Government
3. A good understanding of Row 1 and Row 2 elements of the Zachman Framework
4. Enterprise Architecture experience
5. Some Call Centre experience
Deliverables
1. Business Architecture Document for 311,
as specified by the EA Program at City of Toronto
2. Logical Architecture Document for 311,
as specified by the EA Program at the City of Toronto
3. Presentation of both documents to Senior Management at the City
