Position Title: System Integrator (Integration Lead webMethods)

Anticipated Duration: 5 months with possible extension to another 7 months
Rates: 58 to 93 dollars an hour
Description of Assignment / Scope of Work:
Working as lead for the integration team for the City’s 3-1-1 project, the key responsibility is to lead the integration team in building adapters and other integration components for integrating the City’s new CRM solution with existing work-order systems. The Integration Lead will report to the IT Information Architect & Enterprise Integration Lead.
Background: Assignment Duties:
1) Integration planning
a) Define the integration scope and overall approach for integration.
b) Estimate and confirm project resource requirements to ensure feasibility and ability to manage project risk
2) Integration Architecture, Design and Implementation
a) Develop integration components, including architecture, design and implementation, collaboratively with the larger 3-1-1 team.
b) Work actively on alignment with the City Enterprise Architecture framework, architecture and technology standards through consultation and review with Enterprise Architecture group
3) Lead Integration Development Team
a) Lead day to day development and testing of integration components
b) Chair team meetings, tracking issues, progress, changes in the design, implementation and testing of the integration components
c) Provide written status reports to Project Manager on integration effort.
Qualifications:
It is important that the Services be undertaken by a technology expert who can demonstrate specific knowledge of, and experience in performing similar work for projects of comparable nature, size and scope as detailed below.
(a) Experience:
(i) University degree in computer science or related discipline, and considerable years of 'progressively more responsible' experience working on large-scale information technology projects or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
(ii) Demonstrated experience in and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and protocols including Java (web and client/server), Service Oriented Architecture, Java J2EE, XML, XSLT, XML-schema, SOAP, BPEL.
(iii) Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams in integration projects, utilizing webMethods Enterprise Application Integration technologies
(iv) Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting technical materials, including standards, procedures, and technical specifications to all levels of management and staff
(v) In-depth expertise in problem solving issues in messaging based integration solutions
(vi) Experience working in a large enterprise environment with integrated enterprise solutions such as workflow management, business process management, business rules management, document management, content management, customer relations management, enterprise application integration and portal solutions
(vii) Extensive experience in designing and developing integration components for large government organizations using webMethods Integration Server and Broker
(viii) Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), presentation skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities
(b) Technical Capabilities:
(i) 5+ years experience working as integration team lead
(ii) 3+ years experience integrating enterprise applications using webMethods integration technologies, designing and implementing inter-application messaging using canonical data-models, XML Schema, with fault tolerance and error handling
(iii) 4+ working with webMethods Integration Server and Broker
(iv) 1+ year experience with integration on municipal CRM projects
(v) 3+ years experience with Oracle RDBMS, PL/SQL programming
(vi) 3+ years of solution design for Java/J2EE, preferably for IBM Websphere
(vii) 2+ years experience architecting solutions using Service Oriented Architecture
Deliverables:
1. Integration architecture artefacts including UML models and design documents
2. Status meeting reports & schedule updates
3. Other project management artefacts as part of team lead responsibilities
4. Knowledge transfer to other team members
