PIVOTAL Recruitment Solutions, a practice area of Pivotal Integrated HR Solutions, is currently seeking a Freight Coordinator with leading edge International Food Import/Export, enthusiastic self starter professional to join our clients organization.
Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, coordinate, arrange, and monitor the transportation and movement of goods.
• Co-ordinate day to day logistics activities required for the transportation of products, via Airfreight/Sea freight, ground, international, domestic and transborder.
• Research and procure transportations tenders and quotations, report findings
• Monitor shipment movements, strong follow up required.
• Strong negotiating skills – Negotiating with carriers for best rates and services.
• Sales aptitude and a professional phone manner required as you will deal with several people.
• Ability to be updated on government regulations
• Strong organization skills and ability to multi task
• Follow up on payment invoices
• Experience in International Trading and Sales areas. (Food Industry experiences a definite asset.)
Skills Required
University degree or college Diploma required Ideal, Economics, Bachelors degree,
International Trade Diploma.
Experience
2 – 3 years in related field - Food Experience an asset and/or University Graduate that has relevant courses in International Trade/Import Export Business
Ability to work in fast paced environment and meet demanding deadlines
Good research ability
Strong computer skills - Navision experience an asset
Excellent communication
