HELP DESK CONTRACT (TORONTO, ON)

Title: Help Desk
Location: Toronto, ON
Type: 6 to 12 month Contract
Hourly Rate $18 per hour, based on a 40 hour work week
Other: This is a 7/24 help desk so interested people must be prepared to work shifts (rotational shifts that cover morning, afternoon, evenings, nights).
Our client has an opening for a Technical Help Desk person. This role requires 2 years of current and related technical help desk/call centre experience.
Role Overview:
Assisting in house users with Password/ID administration activities (Windows Active Directory, setting passwords, account creations, group share creations etc)
Working in a Help Desk environment mostly responding to requests via email on a Global level via an in house trouble ticket system
Lotus Notes Password resets and User ID administration activities
Skills:
- Education: College Graduate with a focus on Information Technology (Preferred)
- MCP OR MCSE certification would be considered an asset
- Excellent English communications skills (oral and written) with effective presentation and documentations skills
- Professional and courteous with a passion and enthusiasm for a career in IT
- 2 years of hands on working knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 server, Unix, AIX, TCP/IP, Lotus Notes (Password resets and User ID administration)
- Experience working within large Enterprise environments
- Good H/W, S/W troubleshooting experience.
- Excellent customer service skills are required - able to clearly articulate and troubleshoot over the phone or via email directly with end users in a courtous and professional manner
- Outgoing, personable, strong work ethic, reliable, takes initiative
- Keeps abreast of technology - looks for ways to improve on and enhance current skills
