Reporting/ Data Analyst (Vaughan)

Key Responsibilities: (but not limited to)
• Responsible for the collection, reporting, analysis and manipulation of data.
• Collaborates with internal end users and franchisees to define and capture business needs and data requirements; creates plans and timelines for system modifications and updates with external vendors
• Works with external vendors to ensure ongoing maintenance and effectiveness of systems while maintaining data quality; identifies and resolves system issues
• Bridges the gap between the business and IT, ensuring common understanding, facilitates problem solving discussions and general communications between the business and IT
Qualifications:
• Post secondary degree in Computer Science or other related discipline
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in the QSR, retail sector, or franchisee experience
• Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products
• Working knowledge and understanding of regulatory standards specifically PCI
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server 2005 (Server, Reporting services, Integration services), ability to write queries, store procedures and maintain databases and hardware
• Knowledge of Point-of-Sales systems is considered an asset
• Knowledge of web and collaboration technologies; .ASP, .NET, XML, HTTP, Web 2.0, MS SharePoint
• Programming experience with MS VBA, MS Visual Studio.Net, Excel macro programming is considered an asset
• Extensive practical knowledge in importing data from disparate data sources into data warehouses, reporting software and spreadsheets
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task several priorities
• Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
• Highly self motivated and directed
