Summer Position in a Business Development Centre
at Human Resources in Toronto
The Toronto Food Business Incubator (TFBI) is hiring a summer student to do a range of work in a unique environment.
If you are interested in food, the food distribution system, or in developing businesses, this is a position for you.
The TFBI is a dynamic new non-profit organization that helps entrepreneurs and small companies become established in the GTA’s vibrant food manufacturing sector.
Applicants should have:
-- interest in developing products and business
-- interest in food or the food Industry
-- knowledge of issues affecting the environment
-- people skills and the ability to work on a team
-- persistence in solving unique problems
-- office and research skills using the WWW
-- the ability to be a self starter and is a hard worker
This is a Canada Summer Jobs position:
Applicant must be:
-- a full time student returning to school in the Fall
-- under 30 years of age
-- not working in another full time position
-- legally able to work in Canada
Duties:
30 % General help, assisting small food focused companies and Incubator staff
30 % Office duties. Collecting and organizing information for a Resource Centre
20 % Assisting Incubator Staff with outreach programs, marketing and web site development
20 % Cleaning (there is lots of cleaning in the food business)
Job Duration:
July and August.
Tuesday to Saturday (Sunday, Monday, off)
Salary:
12.00 per hour, 30 hours per week.
The TFBI is located at 133 Rivalda Road, in the Weston Road and Sheppard Area, close to, but not directly on a TTC Bus route. Parking is free.
Deadline: Applications must be received by Sunday July 5th 2009.
Interviews: Monday July 6th to Wednesday July 8th
