Job Profile: Marketing Co-op
Reports to: VP, Marketing
Location:Toronto
Classification:Co-op
Duration: September to December, 2009
Working Hours: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday; minimum of 7 hours a day or 35 hours per week
Description
The Marketing Co-op must be able to effectively and confidently communicate with various executive and management personnel, have excellent MS Office skills with the ability to learn how to use computer applications very quickly. The successful candidate must also have professional phone and email skills.
Scope of Role
Research new opportunities for Sales and Marketing
Assist in the coordination and execution of various industry events
Assist in the coordination and execution of internal email blasts and webinars
Provide campaign and event analysis for the Clarity Systems Sales and Marketing teams
Other duties as assigned by the Sales and Marketing teams
Job Responsibilities
Research and collect information on new marketing opportunities
Prepare regular status reports summarizing activity and progress on all current and past campaigns
Support Marketing initiatives through research, coordination, planning and execution
Assist in the coordination and planning of internal Clarity events
Use SalesForce.com for analysis, updates, reporting, campaign management, etc
Oversee email blasts, webinars and any related tasks
Update website and HTML content as required
Develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of Clarity 6
Assist the Sales and Marketing teams with sales and marketing initiatives including direct marketing, tradeshow and special event coordination, and online marketing initiatives
Qualifications
Currently undergoing post secondary education in Marketing or Business-related discipline
Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
Confident and compelling presentation style
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and using the internet to conduct research
Strong organizational and time management skills
A team player that is tenacious and “gets the job done”
Understanding of HTML is an asset
Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and other design programs and asset
Familiarity with budgeting and accounting applications is an asset
Experience with Salesforce.com an asset
