We are currently seeking a Web Editor to join our Toronto office.
Accountabilities:
•Work closely with the Digital Engagement leader on the long-term maintenance/growth strategy and evolution of the website.
•Create and execute annual editorial/content calendar for the Globalive Wireless website, working closely with other business units, such as Marketing and Sales, to align with their objectives.
•Manage the Globalive Wireless website, keeping it fresh through content updates, social communities, promotions, etc., utilizing content management systems and other online tools and databases.
•Manage the Globalive Wireless social community and online events (e.g. web chats), initiating and facilitating conversations, acting as the “moderator” for the website.
•Work closely with Marketing and Communications on campaign planning and management.
•Identify opportunities, and facilitate and execute joint marketing programs/promotions with other key stakeholders of the website.
•Work closely with Marketing Analyst on analyzing website traffic and usage, social media and customer engagement to develop new web/content strategies to aggressively grow traffic, engagement and conversion.
•Partner with eChannel team to identify and address customer service issues online.
•Keep team abreast of social media best practices and current trends, providing recommendations.
•An innovative and creative team player, bringing ideas to the table that will drive the business forward.
Qualifications:
•University Degree required, preferably in Business, Communications or Public Relations
•Minimum 3-5 years experience in interactive marketing or media
•Experience using content management tools
•Proven ability to manage agencies, budget, projects, and timelines
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills; copyrighting an asset
•Personal participation in social networking and online communities; online influencer
•Ability to adjust quickly to shifting priorities and rapid changes
•Deep knowledge of digital, interactive market and social media
•Team player with positive “can do” attitude
•Bilingual is an asset
•Knowledge of SEO / SEM an asset
