We are a Toronto based company providing an Online Publication, our goal has been to provide a platform which would be consistently keep the city in the loop by providing witty & engaging articles from those who are always in the know. Our online publication was originally launched in 2007 and happily due to demand relaunched May 1st 2009. We are looking to expand our talented team of interns now!
We have an Internship position open for an Managing Editor! This intern positions is non-paid, however the benefits of working within a media outlet are fantastic on paper. This a great opportunity for those who can see their self working in the field of media publication during or after college / university. A previous background within the field would be an asset, whether it is secondary education or past work experience. Internships typically last 6 months but can extend beyond that depending on individual performance.
Candidate requirements are as follows:
- Assist in editorial voice and content created for publication
- Interacting with our staff journalists (help assign article topics, plot assigned articles / received articles on our schedule via virtual office)
- Correcting grammar/spelling mistake
- Hiring and managing the writing staff
- Must have a love for Journalism!
Our goal:
- Deliver relevant news more frequently
- Spawn new / repeat viewership
- Produce an unrivaled Toronto publication!
