Position Overview
As part of the Global Services & Support Division, the Analyst Programmer is responsible for understanding the client requirements and providing them with a solution that meets their business needs with the use of Intelex software. Key responsibilities include working with clients to understand their business problems and opportunities, gathering and documenting those requirements, and providing best practices software solutions to meet those needs. Expertise in software implementations and business analysis along with strong development experience and knowledge of Environmental, Health, Safety and/or Quality Management Systems are requirements for this role. Due to our broad client base, travel of approx. 40-50% will be required to our clients' sites. The Analyst Programmer will report directly to the Solution Development Manager.

Analysis and Solution Definition
• Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry.
• Identifies client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
• Documents client requirements using established methods such as interviewing, prototyping and Process Modelling.
• Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution to ensure client is following the best practice use of the software.
• Develops Detailed Requirements Specifications for client engagements.
• Reviews deliverables prepared by team before passing to client.
• Conducts structured walk-through meetings with the Client to ensure all stated requirements are valid and meet their needs.
• Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
Technical Recommendation, Development and Testing
• Leads prototyping and development efforts.
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
• Works with client personnel to identify required changes.
• Assists in Integration and Acceptance Testing.
Project Execution
• Assists in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.
• Takes input from supervisor and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
• Communicates and applies project standards.
• Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
• Understands the components of running a fiscally successful project.
• Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
• Assists in the development of customer specific training and implementation material.

Technical Understanding
• Possesses a thorough understanding of Intelex' product capabilities.
• Able to configure Intelex's product to match client's processes and requirements.
• Experienced in the areas of application programming, database and system design.
• Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures.
• Understands how legacy and web-based systems interface with each other.
• Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements.
• Web Development Skills including:
o JavaScript
o Web services
o Experience with third party reporting tools.

• Exhibits confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices when solving business problems.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline.
• [5-7] years' experience with business process analysis, design & development.
• Strong communication skills to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• In depth knowledge of requirements solicitation, application development, logical and physical database design and networking.
• Experience implementing enterprise-wide, multi-site software solutions.
• Familiar with software development methodologies including waterfall and agile.
• Strong technical skills specifically related to cloud computing and database methodology and reporting tools, such as SQL-Server and business objects.
• Knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety and/or Quality Management Systems.
